Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Borhan platform. By using the platform, you agree to them.
Last updated: 22 July 2026
1. Definitions
- "The platform" — the Borhan software, its web and mobile interfaces, and its API.
- "The centre" — the subscribing organisation: a learning centre, academy, school, or independent teacher.
- "The user" — anyone holding an account: administration, secretary, instructor, student, or parent.
2. Accounts
User accounts are created by the centre, not by self-registration — except for a student joining an academy through an invitation link. The centre is responsible for the accuracy of the data it enters and for obtaining the necessary consents, particularly for minors' data.
Each user is responsible for keeping their password confidential. If you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password immediately — doing so ends every open session on every device.
3. Acceptable use
The platform may not be used to:
- Upload unlawful content or content infringing the intellectual property rights of others.
- Attempt to access the data of another centre or another user.
- Share, record, or republish video links.
- Conduct any security scan or penetration test without prior written permission.
Sharing a single account between multiple students is legitimate grounds for suspending that account.
4. Educational content
Content uploaded by the centre — videos, assessments, files — remains the property of the centre. Borhan claims no ownership over it, and receives only a limited operational licence to store it and display it to authorised users.
Borhan provides reasonable protection for content: signed links tied to the viewer that expire within minutes, and screen-recording prevention on Android. These are deterrents, not guarantees — any content displayed on a screen can be filmed with another device, and no system in the world prevents that.
5. Payments
Tuition fees collected by the centre from students are a relationship between the student and the centre. Borhan provides the collection and record-keeping tool only; it is not a party to the transaction and is not responsible for refunding tuition fees.
Refund and cancellation policy is set by each centre individually, which undertakes to publish it to its students.
6. Service availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the platform available, but there is no guarantee of 100% availability. We may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance, and we try to give advance notice wherever possible.
The platform depends on third-party services (hosting, storage, payment gateways, messaging providers). An outage in any of them may disable the feature that relies on it.
7. Limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is". Borhan is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss — including loss of profit or reputation — arising from use of the platform or inability to use it.
Borhan's liability is in all cases limited to the amounts actually paid for the subscription during the twelve months preceding the event.
8. Termination
A centre may end its subscription at any time. Borhan may suspend or terminate the service upon a material breach of these terms, with written notice.
On termination, the centre has the right to export its data during the grace period set out in its contract, after which the data is permanently deleted.
9. Changes
We may amend these terms. Centres are notified of material changes a reasonable time before they take effect, and continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Egyptian law, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
